Just got next month's Consumer Reports, and there's a huge, informative section on comparing HDTV's, TV service, repairs, and conversion to all-digital in 2009. In terms of customer experience, FiOS got the top score, with DirecTV second.

I did my research for a new HDTV using Consumerreports.org, but as soon as I bought my Toshiba 32" LCD TV, it disappeared from their recommended list. It was listed with the Panasonic, Samsung and Sony as among the best in 32" sets.
