Hello:
I am a DTV subscriber using an RCA R10 DVR. I want to purchase a DVD recorder to record from the R10. I also want to capture FLV and convert for recording on DVD.

I NEED GUIDANCE IN DECIDING WHICH DVD RECORDER TO PURCHASE.

Can some of you seasoned users help me??

Thanks a million,

Mike

Wecome to DBS Talk!

I have had good luck with the Toshiba DR400. It is also an upconvert player and has no issues with DRM. It has no tuner, which I prefered. About $120.00 at CC, easy to set up and use.

There are many complete solutions to the FLV to DVD question documented on the World Wide Web.

If you get all of your local channels through DIRECTV, you don't need to spend the extra $100 on a model with a digital tuner.

Thank you davring and harsh;

I do appreciate your help.

I will probably use the Applian converter (unless you have issues with it)

Thanks again you guys!

Mike

Me , the newbie, again;

I am told that I should buy a DVD recorder with internal hard drive.

What do you think about that??

Thanks again,

Mike

I think you should ask that question somewhere other than in the General Satellite Discussion forum.
