What was wrong with Sky Angel? (I never had it myself, but Im just wondering why you don't want to deal with SA.)

Other than the fact that in a week or two they won't be a DBS service?

Most of what is wrong with them is a difference of opinion over how to operate a 'Christian' business.

the way the run there business as a christian business is my beef...

they do things very unchristian....
Lawsuits. ..... removing channels with no Notice.... Not honouring Life long Subs...
if you ever have had to deal with there customer service reps you would understand where i am coming from;....

IPTV subs........ Beware.......

Even if you ignore the way they treated lifetime members they

a)continued to sell dBs service and equipment long after they knew they were cancelling DBS

b)shut down canada IPTV with no notice and continued to bill subscribers

d) never launched new sat in 2002 which would have alleviated all the current problems

And it will all be over soon ... at least as a separate DBS system.

Perhaps if they got the satellite up in 2002 they would have simply gone bankrupt. The only reason why they survived as long as they did was because of the deal they made with EchoStar to begin with ... otherwise we'd be discussing "whatever happened to that Christian only satellite service that was supposed to launch?"

They made a good run at it ... and it is good to see a couple of channels appear on DISH Network where they can actually do some ministry work instead of "preaching to the choir".

Angel One was already there - that makes two new channels today.

No other channels are in testing at this time ... normally DISH likes to uplink things for a week or two before releasing them to the public.
