I was scheduled for Wednesday, and got bumped. Not too big of a deal .... just rearranged my schedule to make today work.

So now, I'm scheduled for this morning. If I have an 8:00-12:00 slot, does that mean they arrive at 8, or arrive any time between 8-12, etc. As of 10:00am, no sign of them.

I was scheduled for 8-12 also, they called me at 9:00 said they'd be there within the hour, they were at my door at 9:25..

If you don't hear from them by 11, I'd call just to verify that they have you down for today..

8-12 is their possible arrival time. The installer most likely has 2 installs scheduled for this time slot. Either you're first and they'll show up at 8 or your second and they'll show up when they are done with the first one.

My first appointment was for 8-12. The guy showed up at 5:30pm. Unfortunately, at that time, it started to snow and he couldn't climb the roof.

The second appointment was for 8-12. The guy called at 11am, said he'd be at my house within 20 mins. He arrived at 11:20am, called in his supervisor at noon, and both finished the install around 4pm (Slimline on roof, one HD-DVR).

But I must say, they did a fantastic job aligning the dish. I'm at mid 90s-100 across the board. Time will tell if it stays there (it's been about 2 months).

Yes. The guy just left here a few minutes ago. He arrived at around 1:00, and apologized for being late.

Very nice guy, and did everything the way I wanted (pole mount in yard, etc.).

And now, my 24 hour review begins in earnest. I will say, so far, so good. The clock is ticking for Comcast. :)

"Installation Times": Great thread title.....I thought maybe someone was foolish enough to try to start a trade publication for installers. It would have to be free.....:)
