BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Reuters) - New Corp. Ltd chairman and chief executive Rupert Murdoch on Wednesday said negotiations over his company's attempt to buy U.S. satellite television service DirecTV is now "just a question of price."

But he stopped short of saying his company would end up acquiring DirecTV, which is a unit of General Motors (NYSE:GM - news) Corp.'s Hughes Electronics Corp. (NYSE:GMH - news).
