Last night after a thunderstorm rolled thorugh the sound on everyone of my channels was crackling. You could hear the dialogue or music on whatever program was on but there was an annoying crackling as well. Even today its rained off and on but the noise has gone away but every now and then I will hear a second or two of the crackling. Is this just something with my tv and dish or has anyone else had this problem. Also, I should add that my installer mentioned that my dish is closer to my electrical lines then it really should be but they had no choice in order to get the signals. Could this be the issue. Things seem to be in order but I was curious about what caused the issue. Thanks.

Probably not related to the receiver, it would tend to just lose lock on the signal. More likely the response of your TV/audio equipment to the electric discharges.
