So it appears others are having the same issue I've noticed when trying to watch anything in HD on WCIU - channel 26 in the guide from satellite. The sat transmission isn't HD, but the old OTA WCIU on 26-1 did. Now the mapping points to OTA 48-1, and the guide info lists the same content as 26 as well, but in reality 48-1 isn't showing the main channel 26 content, but rather subchannel 26-3. No WCIU HD for us!

Anything that can be done to rectify this? Does anyone who needs to know about this issue working on anything?

This worked for me http://www.dbstalk.c...058#post2151058 .

Mis-mapped channels.

Guide displays 15-1 as KESQ ABC, but is really Telemundo.

KESQ ABC is on 42-1
Telemundo 15-1 not listed in guide correctly.

KCWQ-LP CW shows up as 42.3 on D Guide and on Zap2it.com (tribune guide).
It is actually being broadcast on 2.3.

Emailed to President of KESQ and received the following reply:

We’ve tried many times to get them to correct it. The correct channel is indeed 2.3 since this is a digital multicast of low power TV station KCWQ-LP, analog channel 2.

Our digital multicast channels are: KESQ-TV, 42.1, First Alert Weather channel (NESQ) 42.2, KDFX-CA 33.2, KCWQ-LP, 2.3, and KUNA-LP Channel 15.1.

The analog low power channels correspond as follow: KDFX-33, KCWQ-2, and KUNA-15.

We’ll try again.
Bob Allen

Anyone here with the Tribune that can change this or look into if KESQ is uploading the correct info?

Thanks

I just got word from Tribune that the channels are in the process of being added to the system and that it may take up to five days for them to show up. Supposedly this applies to WMAV, WMAE and WMAB at Miss. State. Dunno about WMAO's spurious extra channel though, it isn't a big deal.

Issue: Missing from guide. I tried red button reset and setting up antenna again, no dice. 26-2, 26-3, 26-4, and 26-6 show up but no 26-1 which is the only HD channel of the subchannels.

This issue is over 6 months old. Please fix. This is the second person to post on this in the last month and nothing has been done to rectify this issue.

Have you contacted the station engineer or Tribune directly? They are the only ones who can do anything about it. In the past, I've contacted the advertising sales department to report that none of the advertising being sold is being seen by DTV OTA customers.

Have you tried my fix yet?

It worked for me. I did have to unplug the antenna in my case to get it to work.

DirecTV guide for locals (outside antenna) needs updating:

Local Outside Antenna (via LCD tuner & OUTSIDE ANTENNA)
KIEM-1 3.1
KEET-1 13.1
KEET-2 13.2
KVIQ-DT 17.1
KEMY-DT 17.2
KUVU-DT 17.3
KAEF 23.1
KBVU-DT 28.1
THISTV 28.2

The Locals as shown above by outside antenna and LCD tuner are correct for today.
Need to update the listings for DirecTV per Locals shown above so that the guide will reflect current locals (rescanned this date and no change).

For DirecTV unable to get KEMY 17.2 (DTV shows as 28.2), KUVU 17.3 (DTV does not have this one) and THISTV 28.2(DTV showns as KEMY), DTV has KBVUDT2 is shown as 29.2 and unknown local.

cc: feedback@zap2it.com

"They" finally got this fixed. I just notice upon retrying the setup of the antenna that they all show as I had listed! :)

I have the am21 and I be dang if I can receive KGO chan 7 and KNTV chan 11 vhf signals. I am able to receive the two with one of two digital to analogue converter box. But with the AM21 no signal. There was a major tower configuration on where the two stations were on UHF, but have gone to vhf 7 and 12 upper VHF band frequencies.
I have contacted Directv several times and I was not getting anywhere.
I suspect that the am21 is relying on the program guide where it may know about the old Feb 2009 frequencies, but has not been updated to the Oct 2009 changes.
Has anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area seen this? I am able to pick up all television transmissions from Sutro tower.
Is there a fixed or do I have to wait for Directv engineers to get the program guide corrected?

Also I have noticed that the program guide will list 8.1 and that is no such channel with the digital converter. Channel 1-2 through 1-5 is not display on the program guide.

KQFX DT 22.1 is missing from the guide

Market/Location: Columbia/Jefferson City, MO
Zip Code: 65109
Call sign: KQFX
Channel: 22-1
Receiver: HR20-700, HR22-100, HR23-700, H23-600, H23-600

Issue: This channel was previously was in guide, but has been missing from guide since 03/03/2010. I tried red button reset and setting up antenna again, no dice. 8-1, 8-2, 8-3, 13-1, 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 25-1 all show up but not 22-1. This OTA channel was working for many many months, but all of a sudden it is just gone.

I even still have shows scheduled in the To Do List for this channel. However, any shows that are scheduled to record obiously don't get recorded. It says that the channel is no longer available.

I have a TV with direct connection to the roof antenna and 22-1 comes in just fine so I know that they are still broadcasting.

What receivers are affected
HR20-700

* What market you're in
Waco/Temple/Belton Killeen
* What zip code you're using to get guide data
76513

6.1 is searching for signal now after about 6 months of working

* What's happening currently
channel show "searching for signal" error. I get 80-90% for them on the signal meter

* The resolution of your issue, if any (such as, did rerunning Antenna Setup help)

reran Antenna Setup...no change

I had a conversation with Tech Support at Directv today about some problems. During the conversation the person at Directv had mentioned that they have plans on dropping the OTA guide. Has any one heard about this? Did the tech support gave me wrong information?

I realize many of you may have tried the antenna reset, but just to leave no stone unturned, I'd suggest doing the two-stage reset as below. I feel y'alls pain--been there for some months, but all is fine now.

Menu > System Setup > Sat & Ant > Antenna Setup > Reset Settings, then
Menu > System Setup > Sat & Ant > Antenna Setup > Initial Setup

Good luck!

FYI for anyone trying to do an OTA channel reset on their AM21, I did the following sequence 4 different times, entering in both primary and secondary zip codes:

Menu > System Setup > Sat & Ant > Antenna Setup > Reset Settings, then
Menu > System Setup > Sat & Ant > Antenna Setup > Initial Setup

Each time I did this, some of my local OTA channels were missing (different ones each time). The 5th time I tried, I did not do the Reset Settings sequence, but instead just reentered the two zip codes using the Initial Setup sequence. Only after doing that did all of my proper OTA stations appear. Rather unusual (and I can't explain it), but I thought this might be helpful to others trying this.

Also, we have a new digital OTA channel in Metro Detroit to be added to the database:

Market/Location: Detroit, MI
Call Sign: WUDT
Real Channel: 8-1
Virtual Channel: 23-1
Issue: New channel needs to be added to AM21 guide.
