Directv updated the over the air guide for my market and most likely all the NC markets. It added the new sub channel for our PBS UNC TV- NC Channel
In my market Greenville NC 2.4 WUND-DT4
25.4 WUNK DT

Still wish they would add several other missing sub channels

That's only because your PBS station previously had a DT4 subchannel back in the day so it has a TMS ID lower than 65535. Prior to September 2008 the main channel was SD only, DT2 was PBS HD, DT3 was PBS Kids and DT4 was The Explorer Channel, once they upgraded their control they made the main channel HD and eliminated the seperate PBS HD subchannel. When they added The North Carolina Channel on DT4 earlier this year, Tribune just reactivated the old DT4 IDs.

The PBS channel in my local area has also got a new sub Channel listed on DirecTV is OTA guide and it lists PBS Kids channel coming soon
And it lists 21-4 now which that channel has never had a fourth subchannel

The OTA tab from Gary's spreadsheet doesn't list a 21.4, and even checking Titan TV's guide there is no 21.4 for KOZK. If they do add it it will have to have a TMS ID under 65536. Maybe they applied for one in the past but never activated the fourth channel. That would still get them a lower TMS ID.

That's because PBS Kids channel has not launched yet and won't until sometime later this year

As far back as I can check, your PBS station never had a DT4 subchannel, so the odds are it won't make the 65535 (0xffff) cut to be in the database.

Has your PBS station even confirmed if they'll carry PBS Kids and what subchannel it will be on? PBS legally can't force stations to pick it up since they don't actually own their local stations. It's strictly up to the individual local PBS member stations which subchannels they carry.

Yes they already said that they're picking up PBS Kids channel and that they will discontinue all the PBS Kids shows on there second sub Channel which is opt educate
And they said that it will be on 21 - 4

WVNY in Vermont added Laff and Grit

22-1 ABC (in AM21)

22-2 Laff (in AM21)

22-3 Grit (not in AM21, added with WSBTDT3's weather channel for minimal incorrect guide data)

22-2 was a previously used subchannel so it is in the AM21. The guide data, however, still shows a SD repeat of what is on 22-1. How likely do you think they'll ever fix that?

WVNY has to notify Tribune of the changes to 22-2, once they do it will be fixed.

The AM21 will show channels in D* database for the Genie and any MINI (as the mini operates off of the Genie) hooked up to your whole home system. It will NOT show any channels (although you can view recorded material on any DVR from the AM21 in a whole home setup) on OTHER DVR's hooked up to your whole home system. Any other DVR would need a separate AM21 hooked up to it to receive OTA channels.

To update

WFFF added their subchannels a few days after WVNY

44-1 Fox (in AM21)

44-2 Escape (in AM21)

44-3 Bounce TV (not in AM21)

WVNY has updated their guide data starting 9-1 at 6am. At that point, it shows Laff programming taking over on 22-2. WFFF has not done the same for 44-2, so the guide still shows the repeat of 44-1 that used to be on WFFF-2 awhile back, not Escape. I really wish Bounce was on 44-2 because it is one of the few subchannels I recall showing football - is that the football now on Aspire? - and original content, like boxing. But that is just my 2 cents....

I hope this is the type of post that goes here, it isn't really an issue, just an update on the guide data that was wrong.
