There's nothing like religious programming in HD to get your morning started.
Kyle XY-HD will be nice.

13 new "channels" and 18 PPVs? At least you cannot say you don't know where the priorities are.

Money talks, I guess.

At least it's not stretch-o-vision on the paid programming.

I can't stand the way both satellite providers count PPV as channels. I don't count them.

OK, let's keep to topic here.

This is the thread for ABC Family HD.

That being said, if you didn't like what you saw today there will be plenty of other HD channels rolled out. This is only the first wave of many.

Since I don't watch the SD version, it's unlikely that I'll be watching it in HD. As Tommy-gun Servo said, at least it's not stretch-o-vision.

Well said, Stu. Those of us who remember the staggered roll-out last year, it was sweet waking up on Wednesdays and running to the set or the 'net to see what channels had been added.

To me, the most interesting will be seeing just how much actual HD programming shows up on this new HD channel. Some of the other channels took quite a while to ramp up. In checking this morning, there was an SD program being broadcast.

My guess is most of the HD will be shown in prime time at the early stages of this news channel launch.

I'm glad they added this channel...I like Greek, Lincoln Heights, & The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Thank you Directv.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Yes, most of their original programming is shot in HD. Be interesting to see if Greek shows up in HD tonight.

Looking through the guide none of the shows are listed as HD. Went to look at their website and found no luck on which if any shows are in HD.

Most are old reruns hmm.

spuddy026 - If it's like other channels that "went HD", it takes a while for the list to populate correctly with HD tags. In upwards of 3-4 DAYS, actually. Give it time.

Stuart,
May I suggest including the channel numbers in your initial posts for the new offerings?
Thanks to Google search, people can appear to be smarter than they really are.
