I would guess within the last week or so I've been seeing annoying pixelation on scene changes. It was pretty bad last night watching the DNC.
I have OTA as a backup and it has no issues. I also do not have any problems like this on my other channels, just the locals.

Anyone else?

Thanks

I just got off the phone with DTV...that was a waste of time regarding my local stations in Chicago. NBC seems to be horrible lately. Pixelation and Audio "buzzing" are very common. I haven't noticed it much on the other locals, but it seems to be very common on NBC. Any hope of this being cured? I refuse to let DTV come to my house as they will be clueless and it will be a waste of time!

Audio has been, and still is, out of sync on CSN. I know it's not a local network, but it is a local channel.

There was a problem last night with the audio on channel 2. The center channel/dialog was frequently muffled while the surrounds were normal, and there was occasional high frequency noise/whining.

I experienced it during HIMYM and CSI Miami.

I had the same problem with channel 2. Very annoying.

Channel 2 CBSHD, same issue with center channel missing on The Big Bang Theory. Two and a Half Men had center channel, but annoying crackling sound half way through program (almost like the gain was turned up too high) that went away in about 10 minutes.

CBS has always been a disaster with sound issues.

Apparently these same issues were seen on the OTA feed, so it seems this was not DIRECTV-related.
Opinions expressed by me are my own and do not necessarily reflect
those of DBSTalk.com, DIRECTV, DISH, The Signal Group, or any other company.

That's true. WBBM just moved into their new studios, and are having a few transition problems. No doubt everything will be fine in a few days.

My wife has complained about General Hopital's sound the past few days and today she saved the recording to play for me...It does the Buzzing and Crackling every 30 seconds to a minute. The show is on at 2PM Central and is in 720i with Dolby Digital sound.

I'm going to have to tell her to go watch it in SD.

The sounds is totally out of sync and is breaking up and stuttering though out the show. It also happens on the ads as well so this is some type of transmission issue.

Non stop audio problems from 8 - 8:20. Stopped watching HD channel and switched to SD so not sure how long problem progressed. Echo or Burping of sound.

Same. Wish we had noticed while it was recording. I'd have checked the OTA signal for similar. (Watching the Bears game, but the wife started watching Desperate Housewives during the half and complained.) No idea if it was just the directv feed, or an issue in general with ABC in Chicago.

We gave up with Desperate Housewives and will download it instead. This continues for about 8 minutes into Brothers and Sisters and then the picture jumped and everything was fixed. So problem was fixed at 9:08 CST.

Same problem with Desperate Housewives -- sound was fine on SD receivers but messed up on HD receivers. We had a similar problem on NBC during the Olympics but that was much less frequent and not nearly as annoying.

For the last few days I've been seeing numerous video break ups and freezes on CBS2 (WBBM) every few minutes. Some are just minor glitches and others are very serious glitches. Also hearing some audio burps every now and then.

But they're still broadcasting their signal from the Hancock Building and not the Sears Tower, right? This is why I can NEVER get their signal via OTA. I can get the other networks but cannot get WBBM-CBS TV Channel 2 via OTA.

FAITH: I find the lack of it disturbing.

Opinions are my own but should be those of all Americans, who would be much better off intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally if that were the case.

Has nothing to do with the building. It has to do with the frequency they are using. They are broadcasting there Digital TV in the VHF range. They will be changing that early next year since they have got approval from the FCC. You should be good then.
