I think this is the first pro sports game in HD on channel 11. Yes, the Directv feed stinks today! I also had to switch to my OTA feed to watch it. Hopefully Directv will get it soon.

FWIW, KPLR apparently still does not have the ability to time delay any programming in high definition. Last fall in an email, someone with the station indicated they would be getting the equipment installed "soon".

With the launch mid-February of a 7 PM weekday newscast, now the CW primetime programming is no longer in high definition. (I've just now discovered this with a couple of programs we record and are trying to catch up on).

Any hope? I'd think between KPLR and KTVI (sister stations in the same facility) that KPLR should have the ability to time delay high definition programming by now.

Edit: In checking back through recorded programs, the CW primetime schedule has only recently not been in high definition (the month of May). Prior to that, but after the 7 PM newscast was added, CW primetime programming still aired in high definition. Syndicated programming that is time delayed (like The Seeker) is still not in high definition.

That's a good question. Last night I notice that nothing was in HD including there news. So, I was assuming they were having some problem with there equipment.

CBS 4 KMOV had problems last night at the end of CSI:Miami. Because of that they are rebroadcasting it. Here is there note on there website:

Programming update: Due to technical difficulties Monday evening, the end of "CSI: Miami" was not aired in St. Louis. KMOV has received permission from CBS to air that missed segment. It will air from 1:07 am -1:15 am on Wednesday morning. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I was noticing last night during the football game that the picture was looking really compressed. Also, KMOV is now telling Directv customers to call Directv and tell them to renew their contract. Apparently the current contract expires at midnight November 1st. I don't know if the other channels are up for renewal at the same time or not.

No I think it is just KMOV right now. They are just trying to make it look like it is Directv's fault. I am sure they are wanting an outrageous amount of money. I would write or call KMOV and voice your displeasure with them. I did!

For a few years, certain shows on ABC 30 have had audio issues. I hear it over digital surround sound, and it is difficult to describe, but there is almost no audio through the center channel and the rest of the sound from the other channels is somewhat muffled. When the commercials come on, the sound goes back to normal and you are blasted out of the room with loudness. I called the local ABC affiliate and they seemed to know about it but it hasn't been fixed in years. Seems to be affected by certain shows, not all of them, but no real pattern.
