Agree the only other alternative I see is a 1000.2 dish to replace your dish 500. But that means you need to become an installer instead of a handyman.
You should first check to see if your dish setup has a third output from the lnb (the eye on the dish facing the reflector) and run the new coax from there, if there isn't one, you then need a switch (preferably a DPP44 switch. The current outputs from the lnb would need to be run to the switch and the coax runs (including the new line) would then need to be run from the switch instead of the lnb.

A DPP44 with power inserter will take up to four inputs and give you four DishPro Plus outputs. Your other option is two DP34s and double cabling to everything.
I found a couple of DPP44's, do I need a power inserter with it? what does it do for me?
Self installing is overrated.
