I too was frustrated during the football game on Fox 24 (12/28). I discussed the issus with DTV, that hinted they were aware of the problem. I reminded the C/S person the same problem occurred on 12/21, and DTV gave national feed access on that day. She apologized; but according to a search, I was the ONLY one complaining on 12/28, which wasn't enough to run-up the red flag to grant access. I also contacted Fox 24 (Macon), and was informed they are aware, and working on their transmitter.

Fox 24 HD was GREAT tonight (ALA/Utah game). No video jitters, no audio distortion. They temporarily changed transmitters, which seems to have fixed the problem. After the transmitter change, I did lose my OTA -HD signal; but still have the ole analog for backup.

Since Ralph Carson at channel 24 switched transmitters, I've watched several high def FOX shows via Directv and have detected no problems with video or audio. So far so good!

On January 1, WPGA will no longer be the ABC affiliate in Macon, Georgia. WGXA, the FOX affiliate, will carry ABC on a subchannel (16.2, I think.) Does anyone know the manner in which Directv will handle this change? Currently, Directv assigns FOX to channel 24 even though it broadcasts on frequency 16.1. Effective January 1, what number will Directv assign to ABC for viewers in the Macon, Georgia, area?

It would be interesting if WGXA is going to provide the sub-channel in 720p. Otherwise, no ABC HD for the Macon DMA OTA either.

I'm curious as to how DirecTV will handle this as well. Will we be given a national ABC feed or will they just use the WGXA subchannel feed?

The receptionist at WGXA says that after the cutover, FOX will continue to be 24.1 OTA and channel 24 on Directv. ABC will be 16.2 OTA and channel 25 on Directv. Directv will use the WGXA subchannel feed.

Currently, via antenna, ABC programming is on 24.2; via Directv on channel 25. Directv's programming guide for channel 25, however, is showing WGXA FOX content instead of ABC content.
