I was recently told that dish network may soon switch (or add) all the programming currently broadcast on satellites 110, 119, & 129 to one satellite. I believe the number was 77.5. Anyone out know anything about this?

Do a search on the "eastern arc". There is lots of information on what DISH is planning.

And FYI, the slot is 77 degrees and the other two eastern arc satellites are at 72.7 and 61.5 degrees. A dish 1000.4 or 1000.5 is used to receive the eastern arc satellites.

Whoever told you that gave you incomplete information. Indeed, Dish is in the process of converting to an "Eastern Arc" for customers in areas in the East. Three satellites are involved 61.5°, 72.7°, and 77°. Do a search in the Dish threads for thread titles including "Eastern Arc".
