What is the deal with CW? I Have a HR-20 and the OTA 23-1 will not come in but 34-1 & 56-1 do, these channels are all on the same frequency. there are two 23-1 channels available in the guide and both say searching for signal when I know the signal is good because 56-1 is at 80% signal strength and the same antenna feed picks it up on my TV. I have called D* but they just don't understand the issue and say its the OTA channel that has the issue is there anything that can be done?
It is a problem with 23-1 showing up twice. There is only one solution I have found, and that is to reset the antenna setup, then re-run the antenna setup. (You have to reset it...you can't just re-run the setup.) Once you've gone through that, make sure you use the entry for 23-1 that says "KDMIDT2" - not the one that says "KCWIDT."
Even more bad news...you have to do this whenever your HR20 gets rebooted.

...I still will never understand why DTV removed the OTA jack on all of the new receivers!
To reduce the cost of producing the box. The majority of users don't use OTA.
If you need OTA, then add the AM21 OTA tuner to your system.

Local Channel 5 WOI-TV has has stroboscopic video for almost 24 hours now. The video jitters badly, scrolling text across the screen jumps rapidly (strobes).
The two NBA games yesterday were unwatchable. The problem continues this morning, as the news crawl is jittering across the bottom of the screen and any "action" on the screen is strobed to the point of discomfort.
Local time: 8:15 a.m., 01/27/2014
DMA: Des Moines, IA
Channel: 5, WOI-TV (HD)
The problem is in evidence on 3 different DVRs, viewing live: HR44-700, HR-24-200, and on its own separate dish, HR-24-200.
Changing to OTA channel 5-1 using one of the HR24's and an AM21, there is no video strobe at all, the picture is perfect.
