i read somewhere that dtv is swapping cards, is this true?

If you could tell us where "somewhere" is it would help.:)

I've seen no reports of a card swap.
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

There's really no reason to at this time. The last card swap was necessitated mostly due to rampant piracy, which they have totally shut down.

FAITH: I find the lack of it disturbing.

Opinions are my own but should be those of all Americans, who would be much better off intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally if that were the case.

Dish Network is in the middle of a card swap, due to piracy. The new cards are purple in color and enable the receivers to decode Nagravision v3. Nagra v2 was compromised and is widely pirated.
