Thanks for the info, Satelliteracer.

Just letting you and everyone else at Directv know, there's a lot of WNPT lovers here in Nashville waiting too. :)

It's been in the works for a long time, but customer interactions are always good. Helps to let decision makers know.

Yup.

But its also cool to final see the roll-out of PBS HD underway, as a fair number of people had strong views on wanting it....

Good news for them, and we are happy for them as well.

We get 3 PBS here (15, 24 & 68). I think only 15 & 24 are HD.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the order the PBS hd stations are being turned on. Anyone notice a pattern or order to it?

I wonder why they are carrying channel 30 in Atlanta instead of channel 8? Channel 30 seems to be the lesser of the two, with some of the programming being shown after it appears on channel 8 or not at all.

Well, even though the agreement was signed last year between DirecTV, PBS and the APTS, each member station had to ratify it. Perhaps Channel 8 didn't see fit to ratify it, instead trying to hold out for more compensation? If you're the only station in town, there's not much DirecTv can do, but if there's another PBS station, tehn DirecTV might just have moved on and made an agreement with them. Of course, this is only speculation on my part.
