KTEN has posted an update about this on their website.

What they don't say is that the basic principle of the law is a "must carry" provision that can be exercised by the station owner but in return does not allow them to charge cable and satellite providers. The stations have to make it on their advertising revenue. Most The CW stations are struggling to make it. Lockwood is trying legalized blackmail by holding the Superbowl hostage and has sent out a ransom note:

Currently must carry does not apply to sub channels, if they could must carry it they probably would.

When we signed up for All-American Direct to get an ABC station we also were given the option for a FOX and CBS East and West coat feeds if we wanted. We couldn't get the NBC one. KXII signed a waiver allowing it but KTEN refused.

What city do you have to get for ABC on Dish since there is no local affiliate?

You can choose Atlanta or San Francisco.

If you are in grayson county WFAA will not allow a waiver but if you are on the OK side of our DMA you can get ABC from all american direct.

Is there no way to get a waiver on the OK side from any other "closer" affiliate than Atlanta or San Francisco? I once knew someone on the OK side who got ABC from WFAA-Dallas.

Not though Dish Network anymore. You used to be able to do that and it would actually be legal for you and me to have WFAA because they are our local ABC affliate but, they are not in our DMA since we are in the Sherman/Ada DMA and after Dish Network lost a court battle in 12-06 they can no longer provide local channels to someone from outside their DMA. You might check with Directv, they could legally provide WFAA to you but, I have never heard of them doing that for anybody. They would probably give you ABC from New York or LA.

Off topic but has anyone noticed CH 12 has reverted to CH 12 VHF instead of UHF CH 20.

For some reason it's harder to get 12 than 10 OTA. I heard that 12's digital output was not 100% and won't be until they are totally digital. I hope this is the problem with why they're signal is weaker for me.

I know they're now fully digital. I just hope they increase the power like they mentioned they would after the change.
