The new forum software is performing better with the IE8 Beta 2. When you surf to a site that IE8 recognizes as having compatibility issues with itself it offers compatibility mode. The old forum software triggered this.

The new software is not triggering compatibility mode any longer and everything seems to be working without difficulty.

The only thing I have noticed so far is that the drop down menus at the top of the forum come down very slowly and in pieces BUT this only happens if you have the screen resoltuion set higher than normal... example, in the bottom right hand corner of the IE8 browser window ther is a zoom percentage displayed... at 100% the menus perform normally. I have my window set to 125% (23" LCD Screen at 2048x1152, I am taking advantage of the screen "real estate") and this is where the problem occurs.

Other than this, all of the problems occuring in the forum unders IE8 Beta 2 are gone. The IE8 Beta Release Candidate is due in late January.
