I just helped install a new HR23-700 receiver at my fathers house, but noticed low signal levels on the 99/103 sats only. The 99/103 signal levels are hovering around 72-79. The 101/110/119 are 95-100. I'm very familiar with the Slimline dish alignment procedure, and aligned his dish myself about a month ago using a Channel Master signal meter (dither method). I confirmed the alignment is correct, but these lower signal levels on the 99/103 are of concern as compared to my own HR20/HR21 receivers which hover in the 90's. I tried tweaking the azimuth/elevation on the dish to no avail. The signal levels will not go above 80. Without the need for BBC's, you would think the signal levels would be higher as compared to models which require BBC's. I was wondering if this is normal for the new wide-band tuners in these receivers.
For those who have the new HR23-700 installed, can anyone confirm that you have higher signal levels on the 99/103?
