everything else on remote works fine but when trying to navigate the channel menu or doing a show or channel search...the up arrow directly above the large orange select button does not work. I've tried changing batteries and hte issue still persisted. Do I need to go out and buy a new remote? Contact DirecTV about getting a replacement? Or is their a fix that can be done for this?

You might try a menu restart of the receiver to see if it restores the functionality. It might just be a glitch.

Equipment includes a buncha stuff that I no longer have interest in detailing
