I've seen it many times in the past. Normally, D* will pull the MSG/MSG+ HD feeds out of the onscreen guide just before game time and if you tune to one of those channels, you get the D* logo and music. I am crossing my fingers that MSG will be alive and well in beautiful HD tonight on NHL CI.

Maybe Bettman will start the show off this evening with some glorious news since they get at least 1 call per week on the topic.

I agree I have seen it pulled many time too. I also had a chance to look through the DTV online guide (Not the Center Ice schedule) and as far out as it goes, the Center Ice Channels show all Rangers/Devils/Islanders/Sabres games available via MSG HD (when they are available in HD of course). This also has be wrong in the past too.

Here's to hoping..

id say they are putting these feeds on because of the ruleing by the courts not because they arent allowed to and there fore there is no comment from the top brass about it

No because see in Bettman's eyes he gets one call per week and we are in roughly week 20 of the season. According to his way of thinking only 20 people care so it is not a major issue.

Rangers - Islanders in 3D

I wonder if the new 3D channel was/is causing some of the problems delaying the return of MSG HD to NHLCI.

I'm sure there had to be a fight over fees and rights of this new channel. MSG definitely wants more money for a 3D channel.

Maybe it has all been worked out and MSG HD is back.

Soooo, if the problem actually is fixed, and we have our HD MSG back, someone should still call Gary Bettman to complain and see what he says. Seriously, ask him when the issue will be resolved, and see if he starts blathering on about bandwidth, etc. Then turn around and say, "Ha, really keeping up on things Mr. Bettman? The feeds have already returned, but we appreciate the honest and forthright way in which you have treated us..." I'd be happy to do it myself, but I'm at work when the show's on.

Oh sure, motivate him to actually take action and go back and have the MSG HD feed removed;)

I'm not counting on it being fixed. Sabres/Bolts game isnt listed in HD in the guide and since I record the games and watch them when everyone goes to bed, I wont be recording the channel even if it does happen to light up.

I noticed the NHL Network is rerunning Sabres/Bolts in HD late tonight and tomorrow as well so record that. Also the only HD feed of Buffalo/Tampa was from Tampa so there is still hope that MSG will be there, will find out at 7pm ET with the Rangers/Blues.

We'll all know if this is indeed true in 26 minutes once the Rangers vs. Blues game turns on in HD from the MSG feed.. I didn't hear the show, so I didn't hear his comment on the topic. Let's cross our fingers that D* didn't not get the memo and that they do remember to turn the feed on at 7pm.

Bettman reiterated it again later on during the NHL hour. The MSG HD "issue" has indeed been resolved, and all MSG HD feeds will be available to Center Ice as of yesterday 3/17/10.

Hallelujah.

Now, that's being cautious :)

Has this happened before, getting the pregame in HD on the CI channels, then they switch the actual game off? (during the MSG-HD issue)

"T minus 10 minutes & counting....all systems "go".....condition "green"..... "roger that....stand by for mode-1 Bravo" :)
