Maybe its a attempt to fix the guide problems for the legacy receiver's, and it just shows up on everybody's receiver's.

Because I hope they fix it, I have a legacy receiver (2002 Phillips) and Nascar's speedweeks starts this Thursday on Speed and that's a channel I've noticed that messes up in the guide here recently.

I just checked the guide on my HR20-100 and I don't see any of the channels you mention having "Sign Off" in their listing. What make/model of receiver are you looking at?

You should get that guide data today, I would think. It sounds like they're a little behind but at any rate I think they only promise a 5-day guide on that receiver. Sometimes you get more than that, sometimes less.

The rest of it is fine just those few time slots on those channels have Sign Off for that half hour.

I saw that this morning on my HR20, but when I checked this afternoon via slingbox on an HR21, I didn't notice any Sign Off entries as noted in the OP.

Probably some miscoded entries, or placeholder data the provider used until they updated their schedules.

Oh, for that half hour only? There's a reason for that. Those channels are either doing promo feeds or some quick satellite (uplink) maintenance. They schedule a short (usually 30 minute) sign off period to complete the work.
