Friend needs hardware refund help

A young guy I know had to terminate his service. His box got lost during return shipment but it did eventually get to DirecTV. His last statement shows a $249 credit balance, but he can't get CSR to refund his money on the closed account. Who does he need to call? His parents have tried e-mails to CS VP but no response. Any ideas?

If the account is disconnected he will be refunded automatically in 6-8 weeks. If it goes past that time frame then he can call in. It has to be 6-8 weeks after the last activity on the account. Hence if the refund just hit his account he has to wait.

when accountts are disconnected, credits are refunded 6-8 wks after last transaction on acct. When did the credit apply for the returned receiver
