I currently have satellites 110, 119 and 129 with the dish 500. For me to be able to view my locals in HD (which there are only two CBS 5221 and NBC 5222) Dish Network is coming out next week to install a dish to pick up the 61.5 signal. Which I am fine with, but now I see Dish has up-linked, but not made available all of my local HD channels on the new Ciel II 129 bird. My question is after I have the second dish put on my roof, is there a chance that Dish will switch all my locals on the Ciel II making the second dish pointless? Or will they eventully uplink and make avaliable all my local HDS on the 61.5 bird? Which one is better to have them on 129 or 61.5?

Where did you see them being uplinked to Ciel-II? I just searched and all I could find was where they were uplinked to E-12 @ 61.5 on April 9, 2008.

The ones on Ciel-2 will eventually be lit up, hopefully soon. But with that in mind, it's likely Dish will delete the duplicates on 61.5. I would guess, based on past actions, that if the channels correlate, Dish will change or delete ones on one satellite so that the ones on 61.5 and the ones on 129 will have the same channel number.

It makes it easier to research something when all relative information is provided. Your post implied you were referring to 5221 & 5222 so I didn't research by call signs, but by specific channel numbers.
