I do not shut down my 722 at night but sometimes when I get up in the morning it has turned itself off. Touch the power button and it's right back up. Is this normal?

You should always put it into Standby before going to bed so that you get the guide downloaded every night.

Menu - Preferences - Inactivity lets you pick 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 hours. After whatever you pick number of hours, the receiver will go into Standby (not really "off"). Update selection in Preferences let you pick a time when the receiver restarts. That will download any Guide update so it isn't necessary to do anything to the receiver. It is normal to find the receiver in Standby in the morning. Or in the afternoon if nobody has touched the remote for 4 hours (default value).
