I currently have a DISH 500 pointed at 110 and 119, with a wing dish pointed at 61.5. I have 4 receivers - (2) VIP612, (1) VIP211, and (1) VIP722. When I go RVing, I would like the ability to take one of my recievers with me and have my DISH programing like I see others doing. We never leave the east coast and mainly go to the Outer Banks of NC. I was wondering if I get the 1000.4 RV kit for when I travel 3/4 weeks a year, will this work or should I get the same setup for travel that I have at home - 2 dishes? I have a found a few online retailers that sell the RV kits.

Given your situation, IMO, you'd be best off buying TWO 1000.4 dishes, and install one at the house. That way, when you take your receivers with you in the RV, they remain on Eastern Arc. Switching the receivers back and forth between Eastern Arc and Western Arc is a pain; it takes quite a while to update.
