I've been seeing more and more users with rather large signatures. Both in content and font size. Is there or should there be a limit on how much and how large (font) a signature can/should be?

I know signatures can be shut off, but, really I shouldn't have too. It doesn't seem right that I should have to turn off signatures because someone wants to put stuff in 20pt or larger font size. :nono2:

Usually when we find signatures like that we notify the user to change the font but sometimes we just don't see them because of the volume of posts we get every day.

A good guideline for height is four lines of size=1. Any more than that and a moderator just might be knocking on your door :)

Chris, is there an option in VB that allows you do to what DSLReports has enacted. If a person's post is shorter than the sig line, it won't be displayed?

I have nothing against longer signatures, or multicolored ones for that matter, but I like what they have done with that, and I dunno maybe it's just me, but conversation also flows more smoothly when reading. Especially when you have a post with a Yes, No, +1, or a short sentence in the body and nothing else followed by a maxed out sig line.

Not sure if this is an option or not, just throwing something out there.
