214 is blacked out for me. 214-1 works, though. I also get the blackout message on 213, but then it goes away and works fine.

So basically, the whole thing seems weird.

Just to add to the fun here in Dallas, the Astros game on 213 is blacked out, 214 comes in. 214-1 does not.

Hmmm.

You're required to watch the game in HD? :)

Channel 214 is only supposed to be available to people who are blacked out on channel 213. If a cable company has to black out the main feed, they substitute the alternate feed over the main feed. Satellite can't do this seamless substitution so basically you have channel 213 and 214 both acting as one channel with region-dependent content.

The game was on here in LA on 213. They showed the Dodger game because it was not on any other station today.

I wasnt even aware there was a channel 214 alternate feed. So Dodgers-Astros were on 213, and anyone that was in Dodgers/Astors territory(blackout) was supposed to be able to see CHW vs Balt on 214?

No....Didn't you read my post above? LA got to see the 213 game because this particular game was a MLBNet only broadcast for this area.

Yes, I read your post. I understand that you werent blacked out, and I understand why. I was trying to understand how it works for people that are actually blacked out.

Yes...Normally if you are in the blacked-out region, you will get the game on 214/214-1 instead.
