The SlingPlayer Mobile 1.1 has appeared in the App Store with several new features including support for 16x9 widescreen video and remote control integration with DISH Network.

Just a heads up for those with legacy Slingboxes.

I have a Slingbox A/V and when SlingPlayer 1.0 was released, models like the A/V were not officially supported. There was even a rumor that with iPhone 3.0 these models would no longer work.

SlingPlayer continued to work with iPhone 3.0 and 3.0.1, and I can confirm that it continues to work with this SlingPlayer 1.1 release.

You do not benefit, however, from the "true" (proper sized) 16:9 display etc. improvement from this release.

i was excited yuntil I saw the price. $29.99. No way.
I never cared for all the signatures that insult posters with other points of view.

From what I've noticed, 1.1 is faster than 1.0 and of course it also has way more functions.

A much welcomed update. I'm glad it has been released.
