The attachments to this post cover all DIRECTV Channels and Transponders, both CONUS (Continental US or National beams) and LIL (Local Into Local or Spot beams).

Two PDF documents provide the CONUS data for DIRECTV Satellites at the 72.5W, 95W, 99W, 101W, 103W, 110W and 119W positions, sorted two ways; this data is updated monthly:

  • A full listing in Network Number sequence
  • A full listing in Channel Name sequence
Two other documents provide the OTA (over-the-air) and LIL (local-into-local) data. These files are somewhat static and are not updated every month. These files are:

  • OTA_Only
  • LIL_Only
Three supplemental documents are also provided:

  • A Network-Market-DMA Networklist cross-reference sheet. This information is particularly useful in understanding the LIL data. This document has just been updated with the 2010 DMA rank assignments by Nielsen.

  • A Network Decoder map showing the satellites and transponders graphically as they appear on your receiver's signal strength display.

  • And for those of you who prefer to work with the data in Excel, a file conus_only_rollyourown.xls is provided.

All documents are fully unprotected so you may copy and use the data as you wish.

Dont know if this is the correct place to ask this. let me know if I need to post in another thread. I just noticed on the LIL Transponder Map that on Network #669 there are 2 test channels on D11, channel 23 and 65. Is it possible we will be getting these in HD in Richmond soon?

Vinny,
Test channels are typically precursors to channels going live. That's the good news. The downside is that none of us know when that transition to HD might happen. So while it is nothing definitive, it is a very good indication.
