Another solid episode.

The line about the geek and the malt shop was hilarious. My wife and I were laughing hysterically. Phil is still my favorite character.

I thought Shelley Long was passable but not great.

We agree. This is a solid comedy. And we even liked seeing Shelley who plays neurotic well.

It appears this show is attracting new "live" viewers. For whatever reason, there were 1.43 million more viewers this week than last week and it appears that 58% of them went to "Modern Family." I think word of mouth is probably the best promotion for a show.
