Syfy - Audio cuts out

Does anyone else experience 1-2 second sound cutouts on Syfy every so often? Really annoying.:(

I notice them if the audio encoding changes between commercials, or between programming to commercials. Example would be audio from DD 5.1 to Dolby surround. I have not noticed drop outs of audio during programming.

This is a well known problem with lots of threads about it all over the internet. The only known workaround is to turn off DD when you're getting the audio dropouts on a channel then turn it back on when you change channels. I see them mostly on ESPN and Speed.

UVerse, Comcast, Time Warner, DISH, and Directv, every provider I have seen in person has these dropouts at various times, not one service seems to be immune to it....
