Anyone else get this?, it must be a glitch like Monsters and Aliens.

One time can be a mistake, twice is getting to be a problem.

Had it this morning as well. But, upon closer inspection it was listed as a 2 minute recording.

Yeah, I had it. It was just a 2 minute preview of the movie. I watched it and then deleted it.

No harm.

The trailer showed up on the list of recorded programs on my HR21. However, when played there is no sound. Is this Directv's new way to promote "Cinema"?

Dear DTV,

Strike Two

Putting this in my queue just produces questions from the wife and frustration from me.

Stop spamming me! I already pay $96 a month. I am a big boy and if I want to order the freaking movie then I will.

Really?? I dont remember scheduling that to record. If its not SPAM then what exactly do you call a recording that is unsolicited (For the second time)?

A repetitive bug.

You won't be charged for it, even if you watch it, since it seems to be only two minutes. You're only charged for PPV if you watch more than five minutes.

It not only had no sound but also the video looked like poor VHS quality. What a way to advertise a 1080p presentation!

it's sneaky, evil, marketing at it's worst. D spends enough air time on cross channel promotions, they don't need to clutter my recording list too.

They are obviously testing ways to put stuff on your "recorded programs" that you did not put there. Not a good idea

Take a chill pill. It is only a previewo f a ppv. It is a form of advertising. Directv needs to get revenues so they add the preview to a dvr that they own.

Cable and Dish do the same thing.

I had it show up on one HR20-100. I just deleted it without even looking at what it was. If it was an unsolicited trailer, I wish I would have watched it. Especially if the trailer was in 1080P as the recording did indicate in my list. I still have not seen D*1080P on a real movie yet, only animated ones. Darn Kids!

You are never charged until you accept the charge via OSD, so that is not a concern to me.

D* has a partition on every hard drive, I think around 40GB, that is for them to use, the user can not record to that space. So I guess they can do whatever they want with it. I guess the alternative would be paying more. I choose unsolicited movie trailers.

I had it on one of my HR20-700's. I deleted it. If I had wanted to watch it, since it is PPV, I would have to pick a time & channel & watch it there, right? As opposed to anything On Demand which uses the Internet connection to download the entire program & you can watch at any time?

By sheer coincidence I had watched Angel & Demons Thursday night on a BluRay (Netflix). When I turned the TV on Friday evening, I was only half heartedly watching what I was doing when I hit List and caught a glimpse of Angels & Demons sitting at the top of the List. Wait...what? I did a double take, and for a quick moment I thought how the heck did that happen? How did a Blu-Ray movie record itself on my DVR? Then calmer heads prevailed when I saw the VOD symbol.

I am not concerned that I will be chargedfor a PPV. I know how that works. I know I can delete things.

However, I do not ever want to see things in my list that I did not explicitly tell the machine to record. Period. This is either an example of incompetence on someones part if it is a mistake or evidence that they just might try to do this for real in the future.

Both are not acceptable.

DirecTV, please don't make me have to go back to watching March Madness in standard Def! Oh, and the usual begging for AMC and BBC America. You are so close to actually being the HD Leader.

People said the same thing when cable started showing commercials.
