Anyone else seeing lots of audio dropouts during the opening ceremonies on Seattle KING 5 (not OTA)? The worst was two or three minutes long near the beginning of the broadcast. I'm wondering if it is an NBC issue, a KING 5 issue or a DTV issue, or a curse upon my gear.

Yes. It was either an NBC feed or KING5 problem. I switched over to my KING off-air feed and had the same problem, so it wasn't a DirecTV issue.

WTF??? I've got Comcast but it sounds like others had the same issue and were on Satelite. Sooo frustrating. Wonder if it's NBC's issue or KING 5's???

I'm in MA and had same problem.
Couldn't hear commentators (Costa).
Hmm, don't know if that was a bad thing
Same thing happened on their pre-show. Couldn't understand Brokaw...

Noticed same problem on Houston station, both via Directv and off-air.

Sounds like this was an NBC issue then.

Audio loss is always a bummer, but at least it wasn't D*'s issue. I'm up near Mount Vernon, so I don't have the benefit of OTA to compare against D*'s output. Thanks for the replies.

You know what really fired me was that during the Olympic feed was all the sound break up, but as soon as a commercial came on the sound was pristine.

We don't even have a dish yet (here doing some purchase research). But we got the audio drops while watching KING 5 on Comcast Cable south of Seattle. So based on all the replies, it does seem to have been an NBC issue.

SADLY this is day 3 of the Olympics and the audio is still dropping out FREQUENTLY ... major disappointment. Wish I knew who to contact to register some complaints with .... its not like this is brain surgery.

It's not a DirecTV issue because I get the same dropouts with their off-air signal.

I'm getting it in Seattle on D* too. I'm as big of an Olympic fan as anyone but I'll tell ya, this coverage/audio issues/lack of MSNBC-HD is making the Olympics pretty weak for me.
