The later.

So then our available channels is probably back up in the 20s or more, based on how fast they make hardware/software changes, maybe... That'd be nice.. :). Of course, that also means its all back to negotiations with channels and not space limitations.

It should not be available to a general user, without special authorization.

I agree. I was given the impression that some changes were coming to allow more channels.

Are those changes causing it to be harder for you to find, or are they trying to mask these things so new HD is not leaked before contracts allow it to be known?

It's not really hidden, I just hadn't previously included PID 822 in the automatic checking. Working on fixing that.

At least you're famous. Swanni mentioned you by name more than once today.

FAITH: I find the lack of it disturbing.

Opinions are my own but should be those of all Americans, who would be much better off intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally if that were the case.

So when is E! HD supposed to go live?

Only DirecTV would know that, but we could guess and most likely would be very accurate based on previous launches. Usually an HD channels launches the next Wednesday after testing starts, and we're now past 4/11/2012.

I can't wait! "The Soup" is the only remaining show I currently watch in SD... Once this goes live, I will finally be a complete 100% HD snob! :)

(Nevermind the fact that most of the clips that "The Soup" shows are in SD.)

That's because Swanni doesn't have any other sources.
[Disclaimer] The definition of "soon" is based solely on DirecTV's interpretation of the word, and all similarities with dictionary definitions of the word "soon" are purely coincidental and should not be interpreted as a time frame that will come to pass within a reasonable amount of time.

Very interesting, E! HD TEST is now like normal. No longer in PID 822 with that redirection. It's now in PID 823 on D12 just like everything else on D10/D12.

I've also added PID 822 to the normal daily gathering/analysis now. I needed to re-work some things, but we should be all set for a while until the next change.

Was just poking around in that funky 822 PID again and interesting what you might find:

*E! HD

Interesting.

Does anyone have a guess as to when E! HD will be added?
