Has anyone had to send back a "leased" recvr for replacement without the DPP and gotten a replacement FREE? I have not been drinking...yet...I did say FREE. FREE...FFFFFFFFREE.

Leased receivers are always replaced for free. By free I mean no charge for the receiver itself. There would always be a shipping charge unless you have DHPP/Service Plan.
