The networks apparently think people are too dumb to remember call letters, so almost everyone is now NBC10, CBS2, ABC7, FOX5, etc...

I agree that Comcrap will do everything in their legal (and illegal) power to prevent CSN Philly (soon to be NBC Sports Phila.) from being available on D* and E*. Obviously, Comcrap thinks that they'd lose more $$$ in dropped cable customers than they'd gain in ad revenue from advertisers when the number of viewers would go up by adding CSN to D* and E*.

It is really DirecTV. Dish has no real interest in local sports networks unless they are dirt cheap.

remember DISH had WGNHD a long time before Directv added it. That should have been a clue to Directv's future HD fall from grace.

Why? For a handful of games? WGN is a boatload of reruns and Chicago news.

Tonight the Phillies are on ESPN hope we don,t get shut out in Phila. area .Checked the schedule on thursday WGN is showing the Phils and Cubs at 7:00pm maybe this game won,t fall under blackout rules fingers crossed. In closing yesterdays Phila. Inquirer sports section mention about the Phillies needing a better TV contract which runs out about 2015 .They now only get 25 million per year between Comcast and PHL17 .Compared to Houston on recently signed a huge multi year contract with Fox for 75 million per.Seems Phillies would command that or more no matter how their record is .Maybe this will eventually move along talks to get CSN Phila. on the satellite or at least gfet the Phillies to look at other sources to increase the TV package maybe Fox or someone else would step up and pressure this to being real.

Tonight game is a full national, it mean it co-existing in both market, all MLB team are allow 3 co-exist per season and ESPN has the final say on what game is co-exist or not. This is the 2nd co-exist for Philles and the first for the Dodgers. so Phillies have 1 more left and Dodgers have 2.

Anyone else learn about the Sixers sale?

I guess C* is divesting those assets because of the new NBC deal, thus I think would lead to Ed Snider just owning the Flyers and the Wells Fargo Center.

I wonder if the new owner of the Sixers alongsides the Phillies will finally lead to elimination of C*'s exclusivity to NBC-S Philly

As sale out of Comcast would probably go a long way to ending the NBC-S Philly issue.

I was working election day here in New Jersey and found out about the Sixers late afternoon Tuesday. My wishes like everybody else was to thoughts that this will bring about us getting better access to our home teams games.Possibly like mentioned that in the future the Phillies and the Sixers could leverage a new deal which would give us access. In one way as a spin off to another channel of their own or somebody else stepping up which CSN Phila couldn,t survive on just the Flyers only .Less hope this puts the necessary pressure in the near future so all Phila. area sports fans will be treated equal in the future.

It's a tightrope being walked by Comcast here... They have a virtual monopoly in Philly due to their stranglehold on local sports. I'm guessing 1/3 of people I know would drop Comcast in a minute if Echostar or DirecTV were to add CSN-Philly.
