D12 Extra Reciever

I have an extra D12 that I have not used in about 4 months. When I tried to use it recently it gave me a 766 error or some such code. My question is does inactivity lock out the box?

Try www.directv.com/resend and send it a new authorization, assuming it is still active on your account.
