$55 for the SD version of Wrestlemania 26? As The Miz would say... Really Vince? Really? Really?

Weren't special event PPVs like $39.95 a few years ago? Boy, that inflations a b*tch :D. Only thing inflating around here is Vince McMahons wallet.

Well, its still cheaper then UFC / Boxing. With it being fake and all, we know we aren't going to pay $70 for a 2 minute match ala the Mike Tyson days :).

Usually I skip the PPVs and read the recaps online or get Youtube clips before Youtube removes them.

But hey, I'm bored out of my mind and it is Wrestlemania. This better be a damn good card for me wasting $55 :).

I stopped ordering PPV movies on DTV cuz they can be had for free online and $6/movie is getting absurd, but WWE is pretty vigilant in getting sites to remove clips. I think they hire a full time staff to do that.

The event is priced at £14.95 for UK customers, €21.95 for customers in the Republic of Ireland.

Or about $22 for UK viewers

Does this include the $10 extra for HD? Most cable operators don't charge this.

Seriously. I get that it costs extra to run HD, but lots of things are shown in HD live... so... obviously its just something to pad Vinces wallet.

Like the other poster said, people *are* paying these absurd prices, but buy rates have definitely gone down considerably. So they raise prices to make up the difference... LOL... how about lowering them a bit to attract more buys?

I'm not expecting $19.99 PPVs anymore, but I think $34.95 is a more reasonable price for a special event.

Cox Cable in my area changed the extra $10 as well for the HD feed.

Supply and DEMAND. UK folks aren't as interested in overseas wrestling.

I disagree. WWE sells out huge arenas during Euro tours. It's big there, too.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

You can't compare EU's TV system to ours they're completely different beasts.

Taker/HBK was great...Money in the Bank was solid...Jericho/Edge was good.

Supply vs demand....As long as viewers will pay that price, they will continue to charge that price. At some point, the viewer will say no way, and something will give.

I remember the good ole days, Westlemania 1, in the clear on the C Band dishes. When they scrambled, my purchase limit went to $29.95. Above that, it wasn't worth it.
