Safari 4.0.5, OS X 10.6.3

I've had this problem intermittently in the past and always been able to resolve it by logging out and logging back in. However, this doesn't seem to be working, or at least, not working as long as it used to. In the past, the problem might occur about once every 4 - 6 months. Now it happens every day.

I am NOT having this issue on two different vBulletin-powered boards. One of those is still running v3.6.2 and another is running 4.0.3.

Okay, in case any of the site Code Monkeys actually read this section, I've discovered that if I go the Forum Tools section of each place I visit and manually select Mark Forum Read from the drop-down, the links on each thread to go the first new post work as expected. If not, it's hit-or-miss.

This is definitely a change from past behavior for whatever reason and, like I said, two other sites with different versions of vBB don't have this issue at all, using the same browser.

Did you try completely deleting your DBSTalk cookies and then logging in again?

I tried it last week when I first noticed it, and it helped for a very short time (less than a day). Then I deleted ALL my cookies, cleared my browser cache and THAT worked for less than a day. The only thing that seems to help it "permanently" is to specifically mark each forum read before leaving it.

It's a very odd problem.

Honestly I'm not sure what could be causing your issue. I haven't had anyone else report the problem.

I am running Safari as well and don't see the problem.
