So far we have confirmation that Los Angeles KMEX-34 has gone HD. Along with South Florida's WLTV-23.

Can anyone confirm other markets. Would be interesting to know how many markets were lit up today.

Univision: Los Angeles 34, South Florida 23, New York City 41, Washinton DC 14, Oakland/SF 14, Houston 47

TeleFutura: New York City 68

So far these have been confirmed.

Thanks, Big Rick, for starting the separate thread.....

Hopefully there will be some sort of official press release on this soon (from DTV and/or UNI) so we can see how many HD locals were added today and where.... The DTV website should update this info also, no ?....

Wondering also if New York will be the only TeleFutura market in HD.... You'd think Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago (at least) would also be getting TF-HD soon (based on the 4-28-10 press release)...

Yeah no local TFT in HD here in LA. Wouldn't make that much of difference here though as the national feed is from the west coast lol

Good point... but think of all the DTV subscribers (in LA and everywhere else) who don't get the "Mas" or "En Espanol" packages or can't even see the separate satellite..... They wouldn't be able to view TeleFutura-HD unless DTV adds the local TF affiliate in HD.....

The TF World Cup games would then be in SD (for them)..... and that should be against the law ! (World Cup in SD, that is...)

Actually, that's Univision, not Telefutura.

Yes, that's correct, sorry !.....Washington, DC UNI is WMDO-TV- Channel 47(as per the Univision corporate website).... (not Channel 14, which is TF)

However, having said that, what's throwing me off is that the Uplink Report posted on Sunday in the "HD-Locals" thread shows WFDC-Channel 14 "UNI" as the uplinked channel by DTV for Washington, DC....

So I'm confused as to how a DTV Uplink Report can be showing incorrect data or wrong channel info, certainly that's the case here, since WFDC is not UNI for DC.... Or maybe the final Uplink Report today corrected the earlier mistake..... Does the DTV DC Program Guide say WMDO-47 or WFDC-14 (for HD) ?.....

Univision's corporate website must be wrong.

Thanks bamaweather for the links which clear this up..... very strange that the UNI corporate website has flipped the 2 affiliates' call letters and thus, their Affiliates List info is in error... The Uplink Report then would be correct, right ?...

So, what exactly is weaver6 seeing in his local Guide if that's the case ?....Or did he just assume (incorrectly) that WFDC-HD was TF and not UNI ?....

Uplink report is correct.

Actually, he stated that WFDC is Univision - not TeleFutura.

The Washington, DC Univision and TeleFutura stations swapped channels a few years ago. I guess the Univision corporate website wasn't updated.
