Is this right about the whole home service?

Are they saying that if I record a show on my HD DVR that I can watch it from ANY connected receiver or does it have to be a HD receiver?

And is it true that anyone can start or schedule a recording from ANY connected receiver or does it have to be a HD receiver?

And lastly is it true that ANYONE can delete a recorded show on the HD DVR from ANY receiver?

Yes, it's true, as long as it's an HD receiver or HDDVR (H21, 23, 24, HR2*)

And is it true that anyone can start or schedule a recording from ANY connected receiver or does it have to be a HD receiver?

The only way (right now) is to set up recordings remotely from an H21, H23, H24. So yes, an HD receiver

And lastly is it true that ANYONE can delete a recorded show on the HD DVR from ANY receiver?

Yes that is true, from any receiver, but there is an option to turn that off and only delete the programing locally so there's no accidents.

It looks to me from your sig that those D12 receivers don't have this capability nor does the R16 :( Sorry, but that H24 sure does, and has DECA internal!

Whole Home DVR Service (WHDS) is designated to function with only HD DVRs and HD receivers.

Wait doesn't MRVing work with the R22? I forgot about that, HDTVFan, you'll have the answer. :)

R22 will work if there is at least 1 other HD DVR and 1 HD receiver in the mix.

Hopefully I can get all the D12's upgraded to H24's for free!!!
