Hey guys, I was wondering what happens if I refer ten people and my monthly bill is only $60 a month. What happens to that other $40 dollars a month that I would be have available? Would it just disappear or would they credit forward until it is eventually used up?

I suspect that the credits would carry forward until they are all used up

Yep, it would just carry forward month after month. On a related note, the maximum amount of referrals by an existing customer IS 10 per 12 months.

Sadly I don't have friends to refer. Being disabled and house bound I spend too much time watching tv hehe.

They are about to open a Best Buy here, I am thinking about making some fliers up and passing them out to people wheeling out HDTVs to their car.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have a question. If I refer a friend and then cancel my service, does the friend continue to get his discount for the full 10 months? We're 3 months in, but I'm about to pull the trigger on Dish. Better to do it now at the start of the new season than wait another 7 months.

Once the referral is active, your friend would still receive the credits even if your account falls out of the eligibility requirements (an Active account)

How's the refer-a-friend listed on the online bill? I got the conformation email the other day & assume it won't start right away.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.
