If i were DTV i 'd be more concerned with this rain fade issue. Here in the chicagoland area everytime WE GET A SPRINKLE OF RAIN the picture is searching for signal. If this happens to me during a nascar event i will drop them like a three foot putt.

I want a pony.
Did you ever get your pony?

No. With everyone else in this thread wanting one, too, they ran out!
Did you ever get your pony?
It's been worth it, though. This had to be my favorite post of the past few days. Who knew four little words could derail a thread so thoroughly?

Off topic but, TalladegaTommy, what did you think of the incident between Harvick and Logano on Sunday? Who was at fault Joey or Kevin?
Neither really, it was a racing incident, although it looked like the kid came down the track a little, it happens...

I called DIRECTV a few days ago and complained that my HR20’s are too slow. They overnighted two new HR24s for free. Got them this morning. I cannot beleive how fast these are! I also got ST free for the next three years. Thanks DIRECTV! You rule.
Today's problems don't worry me, I haven't solved yesterday's yet.

Here in my local area it is something like this for Charter Cable:
Standard Box: $5
HD Box: $10
DVR Box (I think they only have HD DVR): $15
So if you sign a new two year contract and pay up front $200 and then only $5 a month for an HR24 you actually come out $40 ahead over if DTV had this pricing model.
Now, having said that, it would be nice if DTV offered some different pricing models. i.e. new receiver for 4 installments of $50 or whatever.

Software engineers are cheap.
ROFLMAO - Not the ones that work for me.
