Please use this thread to discuss your feelings about upcoming national HD channels.

This thread will not be as tightly moderated as the rest of the site, but here's the tradeoff... in exchange for your being able to rant a bit more, you can be assured that absolutely no one at DIRECTV will be using this thread for reference.

You can ask for new HD all you want, but DIRECTV's marketing department knows that the 100-150 contributors to this thread are only a small part of the 18,000,000 total subscribers.

Please remember that all forum rules are still in effect, and please do not "bump" this thread. Other threads that do nothing but anticipate HD channels for which there is no information will be closed.

At this point, a lot of folks have had their #1 and #2 choices for HD already rolled out... what are you still anticipating? For me, it's AMCHD.

The same for me. Give me AMCHD and any other channel will be just icing on the cake.

Sorry, I spent the last 3 months anticipating.

Not wasting my time anymore. No sir. Not me. Not one bit. Nope. Fool me twice shame on me. Fooled me like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown, not again. Nope, I ain't gonna land flat on my back again.

Nope.

Oh crud, my brain must be defective ... ok, sure hope they add NATIONAL HD this quarter. That's not anticipating mind you. Just the unfocused meanderings of someone who should d--n (hope darn doesn't offend anyone) well know better.

(TCM HD is the one channel I've wanted since my first HD set in 2007. Before the channel existed, I wanted it.)

Perhaps a new Sixto poll is necessary. My top 10 would be:

BBCA
AMC
TCM
TruTV
Outdoor Network
Investigation Discovery
Ovation
E!
Sundance
IFC

To be honest, it was a struggle to get 10. Assuming D* is genuinely committed to adding more "true" nationals, I doubt I will have reason to complain by the end of the year, even if all "my channels" don't get added.

Now if some of those aren't in HD yet, I apologized in advance because I didn't look at the updated list of available HD feeds before I wrote this.
