I wouldn't enjoy Sunday Ticket if I had it for free. :D
(But there are 15 basic cable channels that could be named.)

domingos35 (and other DISH subs), DirecTV subs can handle the disappointment without help.
Let's move along ...

not a problem
i have to go watch AMC HD now :D:hurah::)

Competitive pressure is a GOOD thing, fellas.

Go DISH!! --signed, DirecTV sub who wants AMCHD too!

As a Premier sub, I understand I'm more price-insensitive than many people --I want what I want, and I'm willing to pay for it.

If premiere had what I wanted I'd sub too. Price doesn't bother me, if I get what I want. I'd start paying $3 more a month if they called me tomorrow and said that was the deal for BBC and AMC.

I only sub to Choice because it has what I record. Other than locals, my recordings come from BBC, AMC, USA, TNT, Disc, TLC, History, Spike, HDnet, A&E, FX and Animal Planet. Then I need ESPN's for Coll Fball. All locals are recorded OTA.

:bonk1: Wow, this thread has morphed from "HD Channel Anticipation" to "WWE Satellite Provider Smackdown" :new_popco

That's what these threads always turn into because the number of channels we anticipate DirecTV will add always turns out to be more than the number DirecTV actually adds.

I'm really surprised about AMC HD. "The tango" explanation is obviously a ruse when it comes to most channels (though it is funny how often customers here repeat it as excuse as though it was unquestionable scripture), but AMC HD was the one channels that seemed truly difficult to get by other television providers and the one HD channel DirecTV doesn't carry that they publicly said, through Twitter, they were negotiating to get. Fios managed to finally get it a few months ago. Apparently, E* has now manage to do the same.

I'll wait a couple weeks to judge whether D* has completely failed its customers on this one specific channel. Now that E* broke down the dam, it might be easier for D* to get the channel or put more pressure on them to make a deal. When E* added channels in the Spring and then made the preposterous 200 channel claim, D* was rather quick about releasing the names of channels they planned to add to D12, a month or so ahead of time. As a DirecTV subscriber, I can only hope they will once again respond to Dish Network's" lead."

But its all blurry.

I'm guessing it's less blurry than DirecTV's SD picture zoomed in to fit the screen.

Well, this confirms FiOS, DISH and AMC can Tango. It seems DIRECTV is late to the dance.

Listen to your fearless leader and scoot back on over to your section of DBSTalk. You'll want to pay close attention when they announce the loss of yet another channel over there. Enjoy AMC HD in HD-Lite and over-compressed glory. We'll being enjoying it soon enough in full 1080i and a responsible compression scheme. It's too bad you chose to do business with the satellite provider running a distant second to DirecTV. Oh well, your money to waste I suppose.

To each their own. I think Mad Men sucks, but wouldn't begrudge anyone for watching it.

On a more worthwhile subject, I just saw some photos of Walking Dead. We really need this to be in HD Directv.

I believe he refers to James Long. One should ignore the trolls and not feed them.
