I have that Samsung piece lying around here, unused and for all intent and purposes, unuseable.

If I ship it to you, I WANT MORE, would your wife throw mine away, too.

And the answer to your question is yes, definitely yes. :yesman:

You might consider donating the Samsung to someone who could use a good OTA tuner. I've still got my Hughes HTL-HD hanging around.
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

You should not, because that's not ecologically friendly. Submit them for e-cycling.

The DSR550 Voom box is pretty useless. The Samsung 360 with a good OTA signal is a good HDTV tuner the DTC 210 with a Directv sub will also work as an OTA tuner. and SD receiver.

I have that old Hughes HD receiver and I use them all the time for checking for OTA digital signals. I go from channel to channel checking for any possible signal. When I see a low signal on a certain DTV channel, I'd fine tune it by rotating the antenna until I made it any stronger. It's like playing around for me. I love it! It is not hooked up to DirecTV though.

Our local sanitation department has a trailer at the dump where you can drop off monitors, computers, etc., and they arrange to have them recycled. We have to bring them there, tho. They won't take them as part of the regular trash pick-up.

I know Best Buy takes in a lot of old electronics. May want to check with them.

There are several websites to search for recycling locations, here is the [link] to one of them.

Not any place like that here. Again, recycling is not very big in this area.

Thanks! That was what I was looking for...

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is anything local to take them. :(
