How about some flexibility - Suggestion.

A few years later and the D* DVR is shaping up nicely.

A really good feature for the DVR's would be to allow a user settable skip and jump/back. The 30 second and 8 second are good default settings, however there are a lot of times I would like a 26 or 27 second skip or 35 or 40 seconds. As well as a 10 or 12 second back.

This is mostly for certain networks and sports. A simple selection in the setup would do it and make viewing that much more enjoyable.

BTW, Fios has this and the settings are limited. Not just any number you want. That may be difficult to handle.
