As I mentioned in another thread I had some lazy installer hook up my router connection to Decca in my Living room using my either net that I had run for the beta testing. For a couple reasons I wanted to put it in the bedroom instead.

I unhooked the coax and either-net and unplugged it. Reverse in the bedroom. It now doesn't work (MRV does).
I am guessing that the coax line in the LR is connected to the SWM in the attic and I need to unconnected that line and connect the coax running to the BR.

Is this correct?

Do I need to unconnected the coax to the LR?
When I reset the DVR do I use the wireless choice?

And the reason I am not demanding the lazy installer return is because they gave me Free HD for two years to appease me. (Not paperless billing because I go through Verizon for the bundled package)

 You haven't given enough information.
You disconnected it from the living room, OK and what or how was it connected there? If you have an open coax still there then it needs to be terminated.
What did you do in the bedroom? Was there an unused coax there? If so then it would need to be connected to the splitter.

Thanks VOS.

Yes the network Decca in the LR was connected to the extra Coax(after he installed the SWM), the either-net and plugged into the power cord.

I took the Decca and the power cord to the BR and plugged it in and then hooked up the extra coax and either-net.

Now as I right this I want to define SWM. There is a splitter in the attic I am referring to as the SWM. There is also a black box in the LR that gets plugged into the outlet and runs through the coax. I did not do anything with this.

Still a little vague on details, but my guess would be that the coax that you hooked the DECA up to in the BR is not connected to the splitter in the attic. You'll need to disconnect from the splitter the coax that was connected to the DECA in the LR and connect the coax to the BR that you now want the DECA to be hooked to.

Today's problems don't worry me, I haven't solved yesterday's yet.

"Next question": The "black box" is the PI for the SWiM [which is sounding like it is in the Dish].
Where does this PI connect? Is it off the same coax as you had the DECA connected?
"Right now", it sounds like you need to connect the coax used for the DECA, in the bedroom, to the splitter [what you called the SWiM].
There may need to be some "housekeeping" when you done.
This would be to terminate all unused connectors on the splitter and the SWiM PI [if it has one].

Pictures!

The PI is right next to my LR DVR and I did not move that to the BR when I made the change.

Make sure the PI for the SWiM is on a power passing port of the splitter

I'm feeling lazy too. Just finished alot of yard work. All kidding aside, if Merg or VOS don't respond in the next 15 minutes or so, I'll jump in. Don't want to step on any toes since they have been assisting.

From what your pictures show, it looks like I assumed correctly.

The extra cable from the BR just needs to be hooked to the splitter. I assume that it wasn't when the tech did your install since you were not using it. Just disconnect the now non-used coax for the LR and put the extra BR coax into that output on the splitter.

Also terminate any unused splitter ports.

Hopefully, if the OP is just swapping one cable for another all the unused ports are already terminated, but I guess we shoudn't assume the installer did that, should we?

Got tired of being lazy so I sent my wife up there with a flashlight and a pliers.

Worked great but my wife forgot the pliers and had to go back up.

Thanks folks.
